One minute without light for a bright future in a reunited Cyprus
“One minute without light for a bright future in a Reunited BB Federal Cyprus”. This is one of the many messages that come from the rapidly developing, vibrant bicommunal movement in Cyprus.
In particular, all Cypriots, both Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots, that participate in the mobilisation of the bicommunal movement for a Reunited BB Federal Cyprus, “Μαζί-Birlikte-Together” as they say, are asked to switch off their lights for ONE minute tonight at exactly 9:30 pm Cyprus time (7:30 pm British time) to show their support for a a reunited BBF Cyprus and their categorical oposition to a two-state solution.
In fact, that started since yesterday and, apart from tonight, will be repeated tomorrow and probably longer if necessary. Sources of the movement stress that the struggle for the reunification of our country will carry on indefinitely until its purpose is accomplished.
The same sources go on: “In the aftermath of the majestic bicommunal mobilisation of 24th April 2021, we maintain the dynamics of the mobilation and proceed to the following:
“1. As from tonight up the 29th April at 9:30pm we switch off the lights to brighten up our future in a United Federal Cyprus.
“2. To make sure the UN GS and the Security council of the UN are aware of the will of the broad masses of Cypriots a letter is being prepared on the basis of the Common declaration signed by 120 organisations supporting the mobilisations.
“3. We take all steps to publicise our actions .
I’M A CYPRIOT (GREEK SPEAKING) WHO WANTS TO LIVE IN PEACE IN A REUNIFIED COMMON CYPRUS.
